    The B-52s

    At The Venetian Theatre

The B-52s hold a reputation as the world’s premier party band. With a 45-year career and over 20 million albums sold, they endure as a beloved fixture in rock music.

Their live concert experience explains their continued success. The group’s catalog spans from early tracks like “Rock Lobster,” “Dance This Mess Around,” and “Private Idaho” to later hits such as “Roam,” “Deadbeat Club,” and the chart-topping “Love Shack.” They also saw a significant return to the pop charts with their 2008 album Funplex, which debuted at #11 on the Top 200. Every performance centers on these signature dance-rock compositions.

The group formed in October 1976 following a gathering at a Chinese restaurant in Athens, Georgia. Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Keith Strickland, Cindy Wilson, and Ricky Wilson played their first show at a Valentine’s Day house party in 1977. They adopted their name from Southern slang for "bouffant" hairstyles and began traveling to New York City for weekend sets at CBGB’s and other underground clubs. Their thrift-store style and unique sound quickly gained traction within the post-punk scene.

The band signed a record deal and released their self-titled debut, produced by Chris Blackwell. Driven by "Rock Lobster" and "52 Girls," the album earned a Gold certification with over 500,000 copies sold. Rolling Stone ranked the record at #152 on its “500 Greatest Albums of All Time,” while VH1 placed it at #99 on their own "Greatest Albums" list. The B-52s soon reached audiences far beyond the Lower East Side punk scene. Their stream-of-consciousness songwriting and distinct performances attracted a massive following for new wave music that has exceeded all industry expectations.

The B-52s are returning to Las Vegas for 3 nights of their 2026 tour and will be performing at The Venetian Theatre from April 22nd through the 25th.

The B-52s tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at any box office at The Venetian Resort or by calling 702.414.9000 or 866.641.7469.
