Ralph Barbosa, one of comedy’s shyest attention hogs, has quickly become a standout with his disarming, laid‑back style. His rise spans stages, television, and his work as host of the Formula Bean YouTube channel with Luis Cisneros.
On August 8, he premiered his second hour‑long special, Ralph Barbosa: Planet Bosa, released under Hulu’s new Hularious comedy brand and filmed at The Balboa Theatre in San Diego. His 2025 theater tour is selling out across North America, following the success of his debut hour‑long Netflix special Ralph Barbosa: Cowabunga, which premiered October 31, 2023 and reached #3 among TV shows on the platform in its first week.
In July 2024, he was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch, capping off a breakout run that included touring major theaters, selling out two shows at Netflix Is A Joke Fest 2024, and hosting the festival’s kick-off Introducing show.
