She builds her career through stand-up rather than television or film. Raised in a family of Midwestern union workers, she has always treated comedy as a profession and has earned a reputation as one of the top road comics in the industry.

Madigan has released seven stand-up specials, including her acclaimed 2025 Amazon Prime special The Family Thread, which received praise from major publications and was filmed at Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater. Throughout her career, she has made more than 40 late-night television appearances, appeared on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and has had specials on Amazon, Netflix, Max, Showtime, and Comedy Central. During the pandemic, she launched Madigan’s Pubcast, which has surpassed 10 million streams and 200 episodes.

Known for her sharp storytelling and relatable humor, Madigan continues to earn critical acclaim, with the Chicago Tribune praising her mastery of joke-writing and delivery.
