Australian native Jim Jefferies, a comedian, actor, and writer, stands as one of the most celebrated and acclaimed stand-up comedians of his era, captivating crowds worldwide with a provocative, philosophical style that challenges the status quo.
Jefferies has launched 10 stand-up specials since his 2008 debut, Contraband, including his latest, Two Limb Policy, released in 2025 on Netflix, marking his sixth collaboration with the streaming giant. In this special, Jefferies sounds off on specific facial hair choices, the tribulations of straight men, and his argument that acting isn’t actual work.
Jefferies has also appeared in and led various film and television projects, including the FX comedy series Legit, in which he starred while serving as co-writer and executive producer. He also co-created and anchored the hit Comedy Central program, The Jim Jefferies Show, which ran for three seasons from 2017 to 2019. During 2019, the Just for Laughs Festival recognized him with the title of Stand-Up Comedian of the Year.
Right now, you can catch him as the host of the FOX reality competition, The Snake, where participants utilize their skills, charisma, and persuasive abilities to navigate terrifying trials meant to reveal their authentic selves. Additionally, he stars in Jordan Peele’s latest film, Him, alongside Tyriq Withers, Marlon Wayans, and Julia Fox, following its September 2025 release.
