As an inductee of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Browne's journey began in the legendary Laurel Canyon music scene of the early 1970s, establishing him as a prominent performer at The Troubadour in Los Angeles. His extensive catalog includes 15 studio albums and four live collections, with global sales surpassing 22 million. His highest-charting hit, 1982’s “Somebody’s Baby,” was released near the acclaimed full-length album Lives In The Balance—an album later named one of the “Greatest Albums of the 1980s” by Rolling Stone.
For over 50 years, empathy has been a cornerstone of his work. Browne consistently weaves activism into his life and songs, championing a wide range of social, political, and environmental causes.
