The Founding Father of Modern Israeli Cuisine
Chef Eyal Shani has created a whole new kind of Mediterranean fast-casual cuisine. Fresh, seasonally inspired ingredients are what make the menu pop. There are vegetable options galore for vegetarians, but meat-eaters have plenty to look forward to. Everything from a forest of wild mushrooms seared on hot steel to Falafel and Ratatouille made with produce picked at its peak. Rib Eye Minute Steak, Lamb Kabab, and even Bolognese spaghetti dishes are available for those needing to satisfy their meat cravings.
Stuffed Pita is the Best Kind
All the above, and more, is miraculously served in a pita. After all, that is Miznon’s focus. It’s all about the pita. The soft, pillowy bread pocket has amassed a following across the globe. It’s the perfect vehicle for containing so much goodness right in your hand.
The Original World-Famous Baby Cauliflower
It wouldn’t be a proper Miznon menu without the whole-roasted baby cauliflower. Chef Shani has perfected how to cook the most unassuming veggie with a simple approach. The whole head of cauliflower is boiled and then lightly massaged with olive oil. Grey sea salt is sprinkled all over and the bouquet of cauliflower is roasted in the oven. That’s it. You’ll experience the flavor magic with your first bite.
Hummus Among Us
What kind of Israeli restaurant would it be without hummus? And the best hummus plate you’ll ever eat is right here. Plus, the housemade tahini sauce is second to none. It complements several of the dishes on the menu, adding another layer of flavor that rounds out everything else.
Visit Miznon for lunch, dinner, and late-night offerings while you explore the resort. There’s something for everyone to enjoy in a pita or out of a pita.
Hungry for tasty Israeli street food but don’t want to wait? Skip the line and order your meal through Miznon’s online ordering. You can browse the menu, select what you like, and choose a time you want to pick it up. There’s no better to get your pita craving satisfied—try ordering online today.
Shani was born in Jerusalem in 1959. His culinary passion was first instilled in him by his grandfather, an agronomist and a dedicated vegan, who exposed him to local markets, fields, and vineyards from a young age.
In 1989 he opened his first restaurant "Oceanus" in his home town of Jerusalem. There, he developed a unique culinary language based on regional Mediterranean products: olive oil, fish, tahini, fresh seasonal vegetables and of course, the tomato.
Since opening his fine dining restaurant, HaSalon, in Tel Aviv, Shani is now the inspiration and the leading chef of 40 highly successful restaurants worldwide.
Joined by his partner, Shahar Segal, the duo operates Port Said, Romano, Miznon, North Abraxas, HaSalon, and Malka in Tel Aviv, as well as Miznon locations in Vienna, Paris, Melbourne, Singapore and New York.
He is considered to be one of the leading figures in the Israeli culinary scene, starring in the TV series "Food for Thought" and appearing on the panel of judges during the past six seasons of Israeli "Master Chef."
