Love and Tradition in Every Bite
Chef Garcia draws inspiration from her family recipe books. She expanded them to feature more regions from her travels through South America. Her goal? To shine a loving spotlight on rich food traditions. As the first Latina chef on the Las Vegas Strip, the Venezuelan-born entrepreneur shares her roots with mouth-watering dishes.

Culture Through Cuisine
Chef Garcia’s specialty is Latin fusion. The menu is bursting with incredible dishes found across the Americas. Feast your senses on the Baby Back Ribs “Al Pastor.” They’re served under a glass dome, infusing the meat with flavorful smoke. Searching for seafood? Try the Crispy Peruvian Octopus with spicy ají amarillo sauce to satisfy your cravings.

Viva la Brunch
Weekend brunch is a tradition. Chef Garcia packed the menu with a range of dishes, light to hearty, sweet to savory, and everything in between. Devour a Cubano Sandwich or enjoy Dulce de Leche French Toast. In either case, an order of mimosas will take your brunch over the top. To keep the celebration going, a DJ will spin your weekend soundtrack.

From Open Fire Grill to Table
And if something carved is on your mind, look no further than the selections cooked on the custom open fire grill. A charcoal oven and one-of-a-kind wood fire rotisserie burn a mix of oak and mesquite hardwood with traditional lump charcoal. The unforgettable live-fire flavor complements the proteins that are hand-selected and butchered in-house. The butcher and chef teams spend hours meticulously marinating, curing, and dry-aging each cut served.

Show Bio

Venezuelan-born restaurateur, TV personality, TV producer, philanthropist, and published author Lorena Garcia is currently one of the country’s leading chefs, well known for numerous TV series, a successful chain of restaurants, and cookbooks.

Garcia first embraced a love of food as a child, at family gatherings while growing up in Caracas, Venezuela. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University and more recently received an honorary doctorate in culinary arts. She took her first job as an apprentice at the Ritz-Carlton in Paris, subsequently working her way through Italy, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and China. Returning to the U.S., she continued to hone her chops and helped prepare a few, at the Grand Bay Hotel, Jeffery Chodorow’s China Grill, and Red Square.

In July 2002 Garcia took the leap and opened her own restaurants, Food Café and then Elements Tierra, in Miami’s Design District. Garcia's latest restaurant project is CHICA at The Venetian. This exciting, diverse menu draws inspiration from classic renditions and gives guests the opportunity to explore the flavors of Latin American cuisine with influences from Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, among many more.
