SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER, THE VENETIAN EXPO
Now, Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Venetian Convention & Expo Center, Kirsten Dimond joined the team in 2003 as the Director of Hotel Operations. In just two short years, she was promoted to Vice President of Hotel Operations. In this capacity, she was a vital part of launching the Venezia Tower (2003), The Venetian Macao (2007), and The Palazzo (2008). By the end of 2014, she was named Vice President of Operations for The Venetian Convention & Expo Center.
Before her meteoric rise through The Venetian, Kirsten began her career with an apprenticeship and hotel college in Germany. She then moved to London, where she worked at The Savoy Hotel for four years before joining The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Boston.
During her time in Massachusetts, she was appointed to the corporate leadership team as Director of Quality, taking a central role in achieving the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) for the company in 1999. Next, she took Rooms Executive leadership roles in their properties in Sydney, Australia; Seoul, South Korea; and San Juan, Puerto Rico, before returning to Boston to open the Ritz-Carlton Boston Common and re-open the Ritz-Carlton Boston.
Kirsten is a life member of the Savoy Gastronomes (Worldwide Hospitality Association), a founding member of La Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs (San Juan chapter), and served as a Board Member of the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association.
